Music: Snake Davis and The Burden of Paradise

One of the great forces in 90s pop culture, saxophonist Snake Davis and the Burden of Paradise bring music to the people in 2018.

Snake Davis featured on Take That's A Million Love Songs, M People's Search for the Hero and hits by Lisa Stansfield, and was part of the most recent Eurythmics world tour.

Playing with his acoustic (or 'blindingly quiet', as they put it) band the Burden of Paradise, he's touring in 2018 with a playlist including medieval ballads, torch songs from the 80s and anthems made famous by artists from Bob Dylan to Doris Day.

With no drums - just sax, vocals and a pulsing engine room of double bass and guitar - Rosehill's patrons are promised an enchanting evening.

Burden of Paradise includes vocalist Helen Watson, who recorded albums featuring members of the Eagles, Little Feat and Andy Fairweather-Low and produced by the legendary Glyn Johns, and double bassist Dave Bowie Jr, taking time out from playing with the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain.

Together, their secret is "a stylish blend of precisely 47% blues, 35% folk and 18% jazz". Don't miss this rare chance to experience breathtaking skill, warm co-operation and witty banter as they invite the audience into a world of tenderness, virtuosity and human frailty.
