Drama Club

Following on from the popularity of our summer drama pilot, Rosehill is delighted to announce that drama club will continue, as a weekly evening session for primary school aged children. 

We believe that children spend too much time being told what to do, even in creative contexts: cut along this dotted line, stand over here, move your arm like this. 

Drama Club offers something a little different. Through exploration, play and co-learning, your child will learn the skills under pinning stage craft. They will be encouraged to apply these skills in a way that harnesses their own creativity. This form of learning will not only teach your child how to act, but help them to develop their: 

• Confidence

• Resilience

• Leadership skills

• Creativity and imagination

Each half term block focuses on a different building block of drama: Movement, Voice, Costume and Stage design, Working Together, Storytelling, Bringing a play to life. 

No need to worry about missing sessions due to other commitments – children are welcome to attend as many or as few sessions as they like.

For Parents and Carers

Children must be supervised by an adult in the building during the sessions. While your child takes part, you are welcome to grab a drink from our cafe bar, catch up on work in our seating area (we have free Wi-Fi!), or just pop ya feet up and relax!

• Age: Suitable for ages 4 – 11. If your child would benefit from this and falls outside this bracket, get in touch anyway to see what we can do. 

• Ticket Price: £8 per week + £2 for siblings–discount for advance block-bookings
