Comedy: Rosehill's Comedy Club - November

As the nights draw in, warm yourself up with lots of laughs at Rosehill's Comedy Club.

This is the latest event in our new stand-up series, presented by Mirth Control Comedy, featuring four acclaimed comedians from the national circuit.

Come and listen to a wealth of witty observations and clever retorts from some of the brightest young stars around.

Compere for this evening is Philip Simon. Philip is much sought-after on the UK comedy circuit and has multiple awards to his name, including Jewish Comedian of the Year 2015. As well as working as a rehearsal guest on BBC TV's Mock the Week and Taskmaster for Dave, he has written sketches for BBC Radio 4 Xtra's Newsjack and The Canal Cafe's Newsrevue. He's also in high demand as a regular contributor of material to other comedians.

Also on the bill is Neil McFarlane, who started his comedy career in Scotland 16 years ago, where he remains a regular act at the highly regarded Stand Comedy Clubs in Glasgow and Edinburgh. He has been a finalist in numerous competitions, including Jongleurs Comic Idol in 2012. He also wrote and performed his solo show Sightseeing With A Hangover at the Edinburgh Festival in August 2016.

Goofy and peculiar, Stephanie Laing’s material is a mix of silliness, filth and unusual observations, underpinned by a disarming honesty which makes her seem charmingly vulnerable. She started performing in April 2007 on the Scottish comedy circuit and had shows at the Edinburgh Festival in 2014 and 2015. She was also a finalist in the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2015. Now based in Manchester, Stephanie performs extensively around the UK.

The headliner is Paul Ricketts, an award-winning comic who since 2006 has been entertaining audiences across the UK and beyond. Since starting as an MC in his own London Comedy Club, Paul has developed into a much sought-after performer on the comedy circuit. He's sometimes silly, serious or surreal, sometimes autobiographicial, political or near the knuckle - and always funny.

As with all previous Rosehill's Comedy Club events, we're again offering a food and ticket package. Get your comedy club ticket plus The Green Room gourmet burger and a premium bottled beer* for £22 per person, served in the foyer area from 6.30pm (*alternative drinks available).
