Comedy: Rosehill's Comedy Club - July 2021

Rosehill's Comedy Club returns with more gags from a variety of performers on the national circuit. Check out the line-up!*

Steve_HallSteve Hall is a stand-up comedian and writer. He is a regular writer on The Russell Howard Hour (Sky One), and has supported Russell on his international tours, Round the World and Respite.

Steve has written on five series of Russell Howard's Good News (BBC2) as well as numerous other programmes, such as Russell Howard's Stand Up Central (Comedy Central), A League of Their Own (Sky), and The Now Show (BBC Radio 4). He is a regular guest on The Frank Skinner Show (Absolute Radio) and has appeared as a panellist on The Rest is History (BBC Radio 4).

He was one third of the critically lauded sketch group We Are Klang alongside Greg Davies and Marek Larwood, who were nominated for the Edinburgh Perrier Award in 2006, and the 2007 Barry Award at Melbourne Comedy Festival. Steve wrote and starred in the group's sitcom series for BBC3 in 2009.

 

mike_wilkinsonFull to the brim with down-to-earth Northern charm, Mike Wilkinson takes a bemused glance at the world and then throws it a smile. He's a comedian, a writer... and a poultry farmer!

The laughs come thick and fast with his dry humour and razor sharp wit.

A professional comic for over 10 years, he has supported Peter Kay, Johnny Vegas, Ross Noble and others, and headlines comedy clubs across the country.

 

Aideen_McqueenAideen McQueen is one of the brightest sparks in the new generation of Irish comics. She's sassy, sexy, saucy and side-splittingly funny.

Aideen appears regularly on RTE, TG4, BBC Northern Ireland and BBC Radio 4. She is one of the resident comperes at the world famous International Comedy Club in Dublin and has appeared alongside Sean Hughes, Reginald D Hunter, Ardal O' Hanon, Dylan Moran, Johnny Vegas, Phil Kay and Frankie Boyle.

She has performed at many festivals including The Vodafone Comedy Festival,The Electric Picnic Festival and Prague Comedy Festival. In 2019 she had two sell-out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe.

 

Kate_MartinKate Martin is an up-and-coming stand-up comedian who was made in the South but born in the North.

Kate's experience in mental health gives fuel to her confident, high-energy storytelling combined with razor sharp observations of life's quirks through a queer lense....

A highly skilled, confident and engaging presenter, with over 15 years experience in presentation, she has been widely acclaimed for her skills of bringing humour to often difficult topics.

Silham Shahzad is Rosehill's Comedy Club's secret special guest... although probably not so secret anymore!

 

*Performances may contain strong language and line-ups are subject to change due to last-minute filming schedules or other commitments. Current line-up is a change to that previously advertised, with Mike Wilkinson replacing David Tsonos and Silham Shahzad replacing Ashish Suri.

Our current booking process remains in line with Covid-19 safety advice and we are encouraging everyone to observe the ongoing safety measures as much as possible.

Please book online if you can, as our box office has not yet fully reopened. We are continuing with social distancing and will delay allocating specific seats until nearer each performance date. You are welcome to state a preference when booking and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
