Art Social - March
Take PartOur Art Social is a relaxed session where artists and creative practitioners of all kinds can come along, chat, collaborate, support each other with critiques, and build a like-minded community.
We offer materials for a sip and sketch session that is free and open to all who express themselves creatively, whether or not you make a living from your art or creative practice. Whatever age or stage you're at, we hope you'll join us.
Bring your own materials, or use ours. Come to sketch or scribble a few lyrics for your next song. Whatever you're in the mood for - that's what Art Social is all about. It's a great space for informal feedback on ideas or work in progress, too.
So, whether you're a painter or poet, a writer or weaver, a musician or macrame expert - if you're creative, then this meet-up is for you.
This month, there will also be a special screening of Anne Blankson-Hemans' essay film, Fragments of Belonging, as part of her month-long exhibition. Created during her residency at Rosehill, the film brings together aerial imagery, performance, landscape, and poetic reflection to explore movement, migration, place, and belonging between Cape Coast and Whitehaven. Anne will be at Art Social if you'd like to have a chat with her about her residency and exhibition.
The bar will be open throughout the evening, with a special 10% off Art Social discount for everyone.
Free to attend, everyone welcome!
